Disposable Int'l Phone From Rome Airport?

Jump to last reply

Hi fellow travelers! I will be back in beautiful Italy this September with a friend. Believe it or not, my Verizon cell phone is about 15 years old, and I haven't yet made the move to an updated "smart" phone, allowing me to get calls overseas. My friend and I would like to be able to call each other while in Italy, as we will be in different towns for part of the trip. I see online it's possible to buy a phone for use in Italy. Can anyone tell me if it's possible to do this at the Rome airport? I have to add, I am not a very technical person - am hoping that we can go into a store, have someone pre-program each of our phones with the other's numbers...and ....we're done! Any thoughts? TIA, Susan
