Anyone know anything about buying a disposable cell phone for use in Europe? I will be in Ireland for a week in April and then another trip to Italy and Greece in June for 3 weeks. Where do you buy them? What do they cost? How much per call? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

I don't see the problem. Just buy a cell phone and dispose of it.
Have a look at callineurope.com I bought one last year and it worked fine from Greece and France.
Why use disposable? You can find cheap unlocked quad band phones on craig's list or ebay,( I got a new Motorola for about $65) and there are prepaid rechargable sim cards on telestial.com -- the Passport sim or Passport Plus sim has the advantage that you can use it in all european countries, and you don't have to keep switching local sim cards or disposable phones when you cross borders.
$40 for a Europe phone, charger, and SIM: telestial.com
Try searching this forum under "europe cell phone"
one year old post...they've come and gone
Used Telestial last year and it was awful. There are hidden charges that use up minutes. Calls back to North America did not go through and minutes were chewed up. Renewed minutes while were away and those got chewed up. When you call customer service, that wii use your minutes as well. In all paid a lot of money and maybe got 7 minutes of use and lots of frustration. Looks bad when you are on business as well.
DO NOT USE TELESTIAL!!!!!!!!!!!
Call you own cell phone provider and see what European travel paks cost. Will probably be more reliable and if you encounter problems there is some responsiblity on their part and recourse.
With Telestial there is none. They take your money and charge you for problmes "by the minute".
Mobal.com cheap works great bestcway to go always for me
Unless super budget in which case skype or cards like pennytalk.com
