What is the best way to get from Pisa Centrale train station to the Leaning Tower area. Also from Roma Termini station to the Vatican Museum. I can find everything on the maps, but think walking might be too much. Any suggestions???

First - you might get more help if you repost with the name of the cities in the title. The Europe posts are all in one forum, so just going by the title, you could be asking about directions to anywhere.

Can't help you with Rome, but we walked from the Pisa train station to the Tower, no problem. We just stopped by the tourist information center by the station for a map.

There is also a bus that goes from the train station to the Tower.

From Pisa Centrale it's about a 20 min walk to the tower. If you're short on time you might want to consider a taxi or bus. From the train station to the vatican in Rome would be quite a hike - probably about 45 minutes or so. The easiest way would be to take the metro!

We just followed the tourists for Pisa. We purchased tickets for the bus in the train station and then walked outside and took the bus. We got off with the other tourists and there was the tower.

As far as Rome goes, I think it's a good 5 or 6 miles from the Termini to the Vatican. Someone may be able to help you with the bus system or you could jump in a taxi.

Grab a cab to the Vatican. The bus that goes from the train station to the Vatican is the hottest spot for pickpockets in Rome - and why ask for trouble?
