direct train from Lyon to Nice France?
Hi All...I'm reposting a followup question to an earler post that French Mustique kindly answered awhile back. I decided to take the TGV from Lyon to Nice but there are no direct trains...I waited until 3 months out to book but still see no direct trains. Am I doing something wrong here?

Right now there's a TGV at 11:06, arriving at 15:35 and one at 14:36, arriving at 19:05.
In July there's a direct train at 6:36, arriving at 11:03.
I can't say if you're doing something wrong as you haven't said what site you're looking at nor have you given your travel date.

I don't know which site you are using and which date.
I looked at July 10th at www.bahn.com.
It shows at least two TGVs
Lyon Part Dieu-Nice Ville
6:36-11:03 TGV6805
16:06-20:33 TGV9829
There are many via Avignon, Aix, and Marseille throughout the day. They are not difficult connections unless you are laden with luggage.

Book French train tickets at www.capitainetrain.com - no booking fees, same prices as www.voyages-sncf.com, same seat options, but no Machiavellian redirects to Rail Europe.
You'll usually find direct Lyon-Nice trains every 2-3 hours: 11:06, 14:36, 16:06, 18:06...

one wonders why Man in Seat 61's commercial site - www.seat61.com has a commercial link to Rail Europe on his site if it links them to the Machiavellian www.raileurope.com site?
Hypocrisy?

well calling a paid advertiser on your site names seems hypocritical because they are taking money from the advertiser and getting in this case a commission on all railpasses or tickets sold thru that link.
Just seems odd...
