Dijon RAVE - My Home in Dijon

My husband and I just returned from a trip to Europe where we traveled around for 3 weeks...About halfway through, we stayed in Dijon for 2 nights (wish we had stayed longer!!!) We stayed at Coco's flat, "My Home in Dijon" and it was unbelievable!! She went out of her way to pick us up from the train station (and ran with us to help us catch our train when we left), showed us around Dijon herself, bought us a fresh baguette in town and stocked her fridge with so much to eat and drink! She also let us use her washer and dryer to wash all of our clothes (since we were backpacking for 3 weeks) which MADE our trip to have clean clothes for the remainder of our trip It was probably the BEST place we stayed throughout our trip... Her website is www.myhomeindijon.com. Unbelievable stay...

Hello akw, reading so many post about Coco's flat and also reading Coco's post I imagine staying there is like being in paradise! Coco is obviously a very special woman and a lovely hostess.

There are so many wonderful people on Fodor's and Coco is one of them. I have read so many positive comments about her and her apartment. It seems that she goes out of her way to make her guests feel welcome, comfortable and happy while on vacation.

Ditto. I was there for 4 nights, end of March, and already am trying to work Dijon into our next trip without too much driving. Coco, j'ai un kir maintenant (un compliment de toi)!

I have to join the rave about Dijon. Unfortunately, I did not get to stay in Coco's flat, but we did get to meet her for a wonderful conducted tour of pastry shops and the sights of Dijon.

A lovely city to visit, and a charming lady to meet.

Tour of pastry shops?!?! Heaven.

It's nice to see coco still posting and people enjoying her hospitality.

I need to stop planning trips to Paris & other parts of France and go see coco's Dijon!

Coco, I emailed you yesterday with the definite dates we'd like to rent your apartment; first of all, sent it to wrong email address, then *think* I got it right. Hope you received it?

Thanks to everybody, je suis très touchée (moved?)
I wish I could buy the whole mansion to be able to welcome you all at the same time! What a party! \/

Grandmère I already answered you but you don't seem to get my email. I sent it back earlier this morning, hope you'll get it!

Have a great day!
Coco

We spent 12 nights in Coco's lovely apartment in Dijon. There are so many things to do in Dijon and all of Bourgogne. The apartment is centrally located so you can walk to so many things in this charming city.
We have previously traveled to different parts of France but we definitely plan to return to www.myhomeindijon.

Wow! I can't believe that this thread is more than 10 years old! It seems like yesterday. I've met many nice Fodorites in the past decade and I'm still looking forward to meeting many of you. Nikki, Indytravel and cigalechanta, don't you think it is time to make it to Dijon soon?

A very nostalgic thread. Sadly, indytravel is no longer with us. Nor LoveItaly.

But that is a reminder to take the trips we want while we are still able.
