Did the Seattle get-together ever happen?
There was a thread last August/September discussing plans for a Seattle Fodorite get-together. Capo, Annette, Sabrina, Larry, Linda, Betsy, and Carla and myself were among those responding. Then on the 5th, I left for Europe and didn't return until 7 weeks later. What happened? Anyone still want to make plans for after Christmas? Something to look forward to on one of those dreary, damp, mid-winter days with about six hours of light?

Hi Dina. Lesson #1 for get-togethers: never let a procrastinator (that would be moi) volunteer to organize it. :~)<BR><BR>I found the old thread, still have emails from people that were interested, and I'm still interested.<BR><BR>It seemed like people were about equally split between Seattle & Portland (with Annette in-between, in Chehalis) so I guess the most fundamental question would be what city, and then we could pick a specific place. Carla & I had talked about Portland but, if it turns out there are more Seattle-area people, Seattle might be a better choice after all. <BR><BR>Anyway, after Christmas, sometime in January, would be fine with me...but I think I'd better pass on the organizing/emailing baton to someone else. <BR><BR>

Dina, thank you! A NW Fodorite GTG is an idea whose time has come. Maybe it'll help us can avoid the post holiday letdown, let alone the NW seasonal drearies...
<BR><BR>Capo, I don't remember you so much dropping the ball, as the events of September 11th obliterating plans like these.<BR><BR>I'll be in England and Paris February 8-23 and, as it will be my first time in Paris, would enjoy hearing others' experiences. Heck, I'd enjoy just getting together. I'm halfway between Seattle and Portland, so can agree to either city.<BR><BR>Anyone else?
