Desperate for Barcelona Waterfront Dining Suggestions

Looking to take my wife to a nice waterfront restaurant in Barcelona. Leaving in 2 weeks and looking to do some research on al fresco dining in general for Barcelona/Madrid.

Thanks.

Hi Adam,
there are a few places in the beach near La Barceloneta, just below the Hotel Arts and Torre Mapfre.

I have only eaten lunch there, but it was quite nice. I think I like more the ones down by the beach than the ones up on the promenade.

There are some really nice looking places right on the marina, we didn't try them becase they were so busy we could't get in, get there early would be my advice.

Adam...right smack at beachside, under a tent roof, is the excellent "Can Majo"..also offers a small indoor dining area. One problem with al fresco we found was the bothersome fly swarms. We were tempted to go inside...I remember, I had one of the best paellas, but was forever brushing away the fly attacks...I would check it out before ordering...although, the food brings them on. The time of year was October.
