Two of us would like to take double sleeper in a night train from Munich to Budapest (EN 463) on the Euronight train using the DB Bahn site. However, I'm confused about one thing.
I attempt to book a ticket just for 2 people in a Sleeper, I have interest in the following options:
Global fare - 2 saving-Night and Europa-Spezial:
2 persons in Economy Double cabin:
158,00 eur for Global fare ( 2 saving-Night)
and 218,00 eur for Europa-Spezial fare
I choose the option of 158,00 euros, however when I proceed the booking and I am about to pay.
All the data are correct except for the data about the sleeper: "Reservation Request" that says: 2 seats in the fisrt class.
I chose a double sleeper and they say that it is 2 seats ![]()
Then, I try the other option of 218,00 euros and then they appear to be correct: 2 beds in a double sleeper cabin.
If they dont sell beds in the "saving-night" option why does it appear? I dont understand that.
Any help would be appreciated - thanks in advance!

Repeated from the other version of this post:
I've just tried to replicate your booking at www.bahn.de
I see what i expect to see, a fare for each type of couchette and sleeper at the spar-night (saving night) rate, which is an inclusive fare for this train covering travel and sleeper or couchette, and 'spezials' where the prices shown are made up of a €29/€39/€39 'spezial' travel ticket plus the appropriate supplement for the relevant type of couchette or sleeper. And the full price, of course.
I think the system just handles these two fare types differently, as they are compiled differently. You'll notice the spezial gets a self-print option whereas the spar-night has to be sent by mail, for example.
In 10 years of running my website, I have never had anyone yet select something clearly shown as a sleeper, and end up in a seat, certainly not the the pretty good Bahn.de website, so I'm 99.99% sure you're safe to go ahead and book the €158 saving night fare for a double sleeper. But do confirm 100% after you go, just in case this arises again!
