Day Trips in Southern Spain?

Besides Sevilla, Granada, and Cordoba, are there any other places to go nearby that would constitute travelling for a day trip? Also, how many days would I need to sufficiently see these 3 cities? Thank you.

Hi Wilson! Here's what I would recommend, (assuming you have limited time). If you have more time add one night to Sevilla:

Sevilla - 3 days, 2 nights,
Cordoba - 1 day, 1 night
Granada - 3 days, 2 nights

Some day-trips that you can do are:
- Ronda - 1 whole day (I actually enjoyed very much staying overnight in Ronda)
- A tour of Pueblos Blancos, including Arcos de la Frontera
- Jerez, if you have an interest in touring sherry bodegas or an interest in horses
- I also enjoyed Baeza and Ubeda, but they might be too North to make them a day-trip.

Good luck!
And do not ever forget go to Medina Azahara, about 10 Km far from Córdoba. It will be a half day trip, but it is a incredible lost palace for one thousand years.

I agree with the others except
1. I do not think Granada justifies more than one night - the Alhambra is the best single thing you will see but I do not think anything of the town. I much prefer Cordoba.
2. I should go to the little villages nearer to Ronda - which is certainly a must - such as Grazalema and Zahara rather than further afield.
3. If you are going as far as Ubeda try to go a bit further and see Cazorla and its Sierra - stunning.
If you want to e-mail me I can send you a couple of folders of notes on Andalucia which include most places mentioned other than the coast.
