Day trips from Naxos
I will be in Naxos for 2 weeks from the last weekend of August.
What day trips do you recommend to the nearby islands?
I am interested in something beyond just the ferry schedule. Perhaps a guided tour of the nearby island which includes a minibus ride etc.
Thanks!

From Naxos there is a daytrip excursion to the world heritage island of Delos that also includes a stop in Mykonos town for a couple of hours so you can have a look around. Once you're on Naxos you can go into any travel agency near the port to ask about scheduling and pricing. I don't know if there is a land tour by bus available on Paros, but you can also ask at an agency about that. The main issue with that would be the ferry schedules to get you there and back. They can help with that as well.

Excursion boats from Naxos do day trips to Delos/Mykonos, Santorini, and Iraklia/Koufonissi. The excursions stop off at Paros to pick up/drop off additional passengers at the beginning and end of each trip, adding an extra 1½ hours to the journey, with a lot of time at sea in a small boat.
With two weeks at your disposal, consider dividing your holiday into two or three islands rather than just Naxos. The day trips give you only a taste of each island, while two or three nights would allow a chance to explore in more depth.

If you want to consider something more personal,

I have no experience of these people, but have got it saved as a possible for the future!
I have done the Delos/Mykonos trip from Naxos, it was a good day out. As Heimdall says these excursions call at Paros en route, some people had taken advantage of this & just used the Naxos-Paros/Paros-Naxos part of the excursion & spent the day there.
There are many agencies in Naxos Town along the front that offer the various options, check them out as soon as you get there to find what suits you.

There is also a day excursion boat the Jason that leaves from Aggia Anna and goes to some of the more remote beaches on Naxos.
The two excursion boats that go to Delos Mykonos and Santorini also have a one day tour to two small Cyclades Islands of Iraklia and Koufonissi near Naxos. having said that I have not done that trip. Here are pictures of the Delos Mykonos excursion.
