Day trip to Morocco from Marbella, Spain
My niece will be spending her honeymoon in Marbella in September. I would like some information on day trips to Morocco from there. Anyone have a private guide to suggest? Approximate cost? Anything you think would be helpful.

I would advise her to wait until she has sufficient time to actually visit Morocco. A daytrip to Morocco probably means zipping over to Tangier for the day, and that's like a daytrip from San Diego to Tijuana - not really at all representative of the wonderful country that Morocco is.

As noted, Tangier does not represent Morocco, but if she wants to go, and waste a day, she can take the ferry from Tarifa. There must be some decent guides, but none that I can recommend for a day in Tangier.

While I disagree with the thought that Tangier is not a nice place to spend some time, I agree that a day trip is a lousy idea, a very touristy and unsatisfying view of an otherwise nice city.
If she can divide her time between Marbella and Morocco she might get a look at a couple of places, far better if she's willing to allot at least most of a week or longer.
