Day Trip to Medjugorje

Just in case you're still checking, it's almost impossible. You can take the train to the eastern border of Italy for a boat ride to either Split or Dubrovnik. But it's an 8-hour trip and you will most likely have to wait the following day for the next bus ride to Medjugorje. The fastest way would be to fly to Split from Rome. <BR>I don't recommend a day trip but I definitely recommend that you give yourself more time (5 days maybe?). It's definitely worth the trip.

We are also interested in a short visit to Medjugorje. Does anyone know if it is possible to take a bus from Split, spend the night, and travel on to Dubrovnik from there? I think we would need to book this through a local travel agent. Does anyone know? Thanks!

Bananna:
Search the departures from Split to Med. at http://tinyurl.com/38dk9n. There should be more than one a day.
There is a daily bus from Med. to Dbv., you can see the arrival time here:

So, you'll have to overnight in Med.
(I can't find the departure time, but I think it's less than a few hours drive.)
