Day trip from Prague to Auschwitz

Is it possible to take a day trip to Auschwitz from Prague that isn't too expensive?? I have 12 days in Prague, but would love to have the opportunity to see Auschwitz while I am so close.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Not close enough to Auschwitz, in my opinion. Theresienstadt (sp.?) makes more sense.

I imagine it's possible if you fly. It's about 400 miles by car.

The Terezin concentration camp‎ is about 1/2 way between Prague and Dresden - much closer than Auzchwitz.

Terezin is about one half-hour from Prague. It is a very interesting camp, with recreated barracks, museum, and displays of children's drawings. You can see the ovens and walk through the cemetary. I have never been to Auschwitz, but Terezin was very moving.

Fodor's uses my "Word of Mouth" in it's Prague 2nd Edition to describe/endorse Terezin.
