Trip Report Cycling in France- North to South

Jump to last reply

In May I completed a journey of 1150 kilometres from St-Malo to the Spanish border. It took twenty days. I am a not particularly fit 67- year old so I can recommend the trip to all.
Although I know France pretty well there were parts of the journey that were new to me. Seldom visited areas like the Vendee for example.
There were four quite different environments: forest/canal, marsh and wheat, forest/dune, and cliffs and coves.
I ate as per usual but lost four kilos in weight. This may be an incentive to some!
