cute clean b & b's: Vienna, Salzburg, Zurich, Lucerne + resturant for 5 yr anni celebration: salzburg please
This is our plan so far,
Vienna 24th Dec-27th Dec 3 nights
Salzburg 27th Dec-30th Dec 3 nights
Zurich 30th Dec-01st Jan 2 nights
Lucerne 01st Jan - 03rd Jan 2 nights
Ok, so I need advise/ help.
I have looked at http://www.hauswartenberg.com/
in Salzburg, its 95 euros / night.
Need some central accomodation ideas for Austria, have done a search for b & b and not come up with too many options. Under 100 euros/ night would be great, if anyone has recommendations that they would love to share.
Need help/ideas with Switzerland b and bs as well.
Its our 5 yr wedding anniversary on the 28th of Dec, so want to do a nicer dinner than usual, is there something special that anyone can recommend for the 28th of Dec?
thank you

Hi Ira,
so according to you, is this place in salzburg that you satyed at, very good in terms of location?
I thought that old town was where all the sightseeing and all were, but seems I am wrong. I cant decide if I need to be in old town, or where this b abd b is located?
do advise.

For Salzburg, check out the Bloberger Hof, a wonderful place to stay, with delightful owners-location outside city center, but very close. The bus stops across the street for a very short ride into city center.

Hi Ash,
Am Moos is at the very edge of the city, with a lovely mountain view.
A sheltered bus stop is abt 2 blks from the B&B. It takes 12 min to get downtown w/o changing buses.
Buses run every 0:15 hr. Last bus back around 23:00
Buy the Salzburg card and ride for free, among other things.

I stayed at the Hotel Wolf last Christmas which is in the middle of the old town near Mozart Platz. I would certainly recommend it. Had excellent meals at K&K,Herzl, and Stiftkeller. A very special dinner at the Sacher Hotel, but expensive. The others were moderate. Have a wonderful trip!
