Customs
Hi
We are flying with Iberis Airlines from Barcelona to Heathrow in August. Can anyone tell please me how long approx it takes to go through customs at Heathrow. I am trying to have some idea as to what time train I will connect with. Thanking you kindly.

The train leaving from terminal 4 is the Heathrow Express to Paddington. There isn't actually a train from LHR to Bath. You first have to travel east into London Paddington and then change trains and head back west to Bath.
I'd just take a bus from LHR to Bath -- OR -- a bus to Reading and a train to Bath.
There is no "normal" time for immigration - a lot depends on what other planes (and from where) are landing around the same time.

If it really is an Iberia flight you'll be arriving at Terminal 2, which is the main terminal for non-British flights from continental Europe.
That means practically all arriving passengers have passports from EU states, and if you've got a non-European passport, you'll probably breeze through immigration while the rest of us are still shuffling along the queue. Usually non-European colleagues are waiting for me - but I've never known the whole process at T2, including getting the bags, take longer than 30 mins from gate arival to being outside customs.
Of course, you'll probably land at the same time as a plane load of Russians. All bets might be off, unless they all own British football clubs, in which case you'll go through in no time while they're all off to the VIP lounges.
HOWEVER, BA and Iberia code-share on all flights, so it's quite possible that what looks like an Iberia flight is actually operated by BA. So it comes into T1, which is also used by some intercontinental flights. If your arrival coincides with theirs, you might have to allow up to 45 minutes for the whole process.

Hi Janisj and thankyou. Is there a bus service that will take me straight to Bath from Heathrow. That would be marvellous if that was the case. Do you know the name of the Busline so I am able to reasearch.

As alanRow says, customs takes essentially no time at all. I replied re immigration - that is the one where you actually have to stand in a queue and show your passport and talk to someone. A lot of travelers confuse the two terms - I'm not sure why.
The time immigration takes could be a few minutes - or it could be 45 minutes for all the reasons mentioned above.
yes, National Express. http://www.nationalexpress.com/ has all the info you need.
