Currency in Eastern Europe - Croatia, Bosnia, Albania and more

Hello,
I have a question on currency in the following countries i.e do they all accept the Euro and can you take Euro out of the ATMs. If so is it better to use the Euro when travelling through these countries on a tour or the local currency. Countries are as follows :

Croatia
Bosnia
Albania
Macedonia
Montenegro
Bulgaria
Slovenia
Turkey

Any advice will be appreciated.

Cheers
Jeff

You can use this currency conversion site to determine what currency a country uses. Use an ATM for local currency. Using local currency will give you a better exchange rate than using a foreign currency.

you use the local currency period, if you offer foreign currency then the locals will sting you on the exchange and be miffed.

Just think if someone brought NZ dollars into your local town

Montenegro and Slovenia are on the euro. Note that for some countries (e.g. Bosnia-Hercegovina) it may be tough to convert currency once you've left the country, so get only what you can reasonably spend.

When I was in Croatia 20 months ago I could use only the local currency.

In Montenegro I was able to use it.

I never traveled to the other countries that you mentioned therefore I don't know what kind of currency they use.
