has anyone done a cross border self drive travel from Zurich to Interlaken to Rome to venice and back to Zurich.
just wanted to know if there are any issues with cross border travel form Switzerland to italy and back. and is this travel is a doable option in month of October (last week)

Both countries are part of Schengen so there are normally no border checks at all
Depends on your driving habits and the weather in terms of it being "doable" wouldn't you say?
Also you should check that, if you are renting a car, you are allowed to take it into Italy.
If you only have a week,that's a lot of territory to cover and a lot of things to be seen. Have you investigated the alternative of a combination of train and plane?
