I am starting my planning early for a 2012 visit to Croatia. I could not find any books on travel in Croatia at B and N. Does anyone know of a good travel book for the area?

If you check amazon.com, you'll see that there are many guidebooks for Croatia. I find that different guidebooks serve different purposes, so I can't say which one you would find most helpful. I always use several.
I agree with kja, since Croatia is not an overly popular destination the likelihood of finding a book in the books store is low. Check online for best options.
I just bought the Lonely Planet's Croatia guide book on Amazon.
As far as I can tell, it's excellent.
The Lonely Planet guide is also brand-new -- just published and released a couple of weeks ago, so the info appears to be mostly updated.
I like Rick Steves' guide to Croatia and Slovenia.
