Croatia- not Schengen, but following rules?
I'm sorry to say I'm a little confused.
My research indicated that Croatia was not a Schengen country, but said something about honoring the Schengen agreement?
I'm trying to determine if one can spend 90 days in Italy and then the next 90 days in Croatia.
Does anyone know if this will be affected in any way when Croatia becomes part of the EU next year?
Thx

AS far as you are concerned, Croatia is outside the Schengen Area and you can spend 3 months there in addition to 90-in-180 days for Schengen. Special arrangement in the run-up to Croatia's accession to EU next year means Croatian citizens can travel into neighbouring Schengen states (Hungary, Slovenia and Italy) just with an ID (no passport needed). Croatia isn't expected to join Schengen until 2015.
