My husband and I are going to Croatia in September. We've recently learned that we cannot take any rental cars on the car ferries in Croatia so we are looking for some alternatives to visiting the islands overnight. Does anyone know if there is overnight or any type of secured parking at the ferry for vehicles. I am hesitant to leave our rental car overnight in town and stay on the island. Has anyone had any experience with this at all or have any ideas on how to get around this instead of just doing a day trip to the island.
Thanks!

I was able to take my rental car onto a ferry when I visited Croatia a few years ago. I wonder if the prohibition you are encountering is specific to the company with which you are working?
