Croatia 2 week itinerary

I am planning a trip for June in Croatia for two weeks, any advice on the following itinerary gratefully accepted:

Fly to Dubrovnik, spend 2 days there
Bus or ferry to Split, spend 2 days there
Ferry to Hvar or one of the other islands, spending 4-5 days
Bus/train(?) to Plitvice NP, spend 2 days there
Back to Split then fly home

I am also planning to propose to my girlfriend on this trip, any thoughts on particularly romantic places to do this??
