credit cards with chip
I was at my local Chase branch today (NYC) and inquired about a card with a chip for travel in Europe since I've read so much here about the benefits of having such a card. The nice bank officer informed me that Chase only offered it to their Private Client customers. (That is those worth multi millions).
Anybody else run into this with other banks?

Do a search on here for threads about this. There are quite a few with lots of good input and actual reports of how well they wotk (or not).
Most U.S.bank credit cards that have chip are not true chip and pin, but are chip and signature.
I am currently in France, using a true EMV chip and pin card from Andrews Fed Credit Union. It did not work in in,named tolls but has worked in ticket vending machine for trains.
Our regular Capital One cc works great in all restaurants and stores, with NO fees at all.
