Hi, We are an American couple both 33, who will be coming to Paris April 10th. We are looking to stay with someone (for 4 nights) who lives in Paris & who knows the area well and can give us some good pointers. Also any recommendations on a site that may have posting for home stays or lower priced B&B's would be very helpful.
Thanks

There aren't that many B&Bs in large cities, at least not in France. And there wouldn't be any bet one would be cheaper than a cheap hotel. But here is one website with some http://www.parisbandb.com/
do not assume that any B&B means you will get free guide service, it will usually just be someone renting a room who doesn't want to spend time with you.

You can try http://www.homestay-in-paris.com
It was our first trip to Paris and it took me and my wife a long time to find an accommodation as I was not sure in which area to stay.
In the end, I decided for that website even though it does not have that many review. We did not regret it. Very nice host family, good location.
I recommend you this website.
The OP went to Paris in 2004 - old thread.
