Costal Spain Vacation Rental House Advice

I would like to explore southern Spain this fall and am considering renting a vacation house on a coast. I am not too familiar with Southern Spain (have only been to Barcelona) so I would like suggestions of beach areas with spectacular vacation rental homes with at least 4 bed 4 bath preferably withing driving distance of Alhambra. Considering Nerja area but would like an opinion of other options. Also in consideration is any rural area with a very large private lux house with a pool. Anyone have experience with this area? Please offer a suggestion. Thanks

If you're looking for Vacation Rental Homes In CA , it probably wont be more than 6% cash on cash. Prices have been strong lately.

You might also look at the Roses area. We have only stayed at hotels there so can't suggest apartments. We have also stayed a month in Nerja 2 years back and like both areas, though they are different.

Nerja definitely has more British expats full time so there are a lot of cultural events in English. Nerja gives you better access to southern Spain, whereas Roses is much closer to France, which is fun too but different. I would also say that Roses feels more likely a summer season place than Nerja, but it also has a much nicer beach area, sand and swimming than Nerja.

And lots of other cultural events in Nerja, the cultural scene is in no way dominated by events in English. In summer you have the Cueva de Nerja festival with world class artists on stage down in the spectacular Nerja cave. http://www.cuevadenerja.es/index.php?lenguaje=en

The highlight this summer is nevertheless the latest production of the Spanish National Ballet "Zaguán", outdoors in the Plaza de España in Nerja on July 16th. http://www.cuevadenerja.es/festivales/2016/evento4.html

And all year there are great performances, flamenco, theater, music, dance in the Centro Cultural Villa de Nerja theater. http://www.spainisculture.com/en/esp..._de_nerja.html

And Nerja is close to fabulous cities such as Granada with the Alhambra and wonderful and laid-back Málaga city itself.

Hi, I think I'll try to get some price quotes for the insurance of potential properties. This property will be a family investment that will be primarily use for rental but with family occupying sometimes.
