Cost from CDG to Orly

Does anyone know how much it would be for a one way trip on the subway from CDG airport to the Orly airport. The maps confuse me and I can't figure them out. Thanks!

Consider taking the Air France bus, which allows you to stow your luggage rather than carry it. The cost is around 17 Euros.

Check the webs site for Paris airports, http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr
look under 'correspodnance' (connecting)
Enter which terminal you are arriving at in CDG, and which you are going to in Orly. They quote an Air France bus price of 16 euros, about the same for RER (regional railroad)

The metro runs from CDG through Paris to Orly (easy change at Antony for last bit).

Point of clarification: It's the RER (B line) that runs from CDG to Antony, not the metro. The driverless shuttle train from Antony to Orly is called the Orlyval. The cost for that route is E16.95.

If I were you, I'd take the Air France bus between the two.

The Air France bus is highly dependent on traffic conditions (the A86 being one of Europe's worst traffic-jammed motorways), so if time matters, especially if you have to make the connection somewhere near peak hours (7:00-9:30 and 16:30-20:00), I'd hop on the RER which is much more reliable (although far from perfection).

However, I think that the AF bus is free when you are connectiog between two AF flights, but I wouldn't swear it.

The RER fare is €16, but the OrlyVal costs an additional €7. You can avoid that add-on by riding the RER B to St-Michel Notre Dame and switching to RER C. Then ride to Pont de Rungis and grab the free shuttle to Orly.

The (non-confusing) map you should be referencing is at http://www.ratp.info/picts/plans/gif...x/aeroport.gif

p.s. If you want to spend any time in Paris, you should buy a one-day, five-zone Paris Visite for €17.05, which will cover your airport transfers plus unlimited Métro, bus, and train trips within the city.

Robespierre, I got the price I quoted (E16.95) for CDG-Orly on the RER B plus Orlyval directly from the Orlyval site. It's less than your quote. Has there been a change of which I'm not aware?

On transilien.com I found a price of E8.10 for CDG to St-Michel Notre-Dame and E3.75 for St-Michel Notre-Dame to Pont de Rungis, making a total of E11.85 for that route to Orly since, as you said, the shuttle bus from Pont de Rungis to the airport is free.

I just checked the RATP site and found that it gives a price of E5.75 from central Paris to Pont de Rungis on the RER C. I thought the Transilien price quote I gave was too low. Go figure.
