Corsica and Sardinia

Jump to last reply

I am in the early stages of planning a trip to the above two islands later this or early next year. The idea is to spend 7 to 10 days in each and hire a car for Corsica and another for Sardinia. Also to fly into one island and out of the other. From the U.K. there is plenty of choice of airports to fly to and from - Bastia, Ajaccio and Figari in Corsica and Olbia, Alghero and Cagliari in Sardinia. The question is really about the least stressful way to do this. I have no preference as to which order to visit the islands, but wonder how best to get from a convenient point on one island to another on the other. I appreciate that this will be by ferry, but would be interested in choosing the ideal spots to pick up and drop off hire cars. I wonder if anyone has done such a trip and can give a little advice.
