Corsica - Places to go and things to do?
We're planning on being in Corsica for about 2 1/2 days. Any suggestions of towns to go to? Specific things to see while we're there?
We'll be arriving and leaving from Bastia. Also -- will there be stuff to do in Bastia if we arrive on a weekday evening, or will most things be closed? Thanks for any help you can provide!

What do you know about Corsica and why are you going there? That would be a good start. What sorts of things are you looking for?
We found Corsica incredibly scenic, but Bastia was perhaps one of the least attractive spots on the whole island. Are you looking for beaches, mountain beauty, museums or historical attractions, shopping?

Thanks for your reply -- basically my cousin and I are going to Corsica because from the little I've seen/heard, it seems like it will be beautiful with quaint towns, very scenic natural settings, beautiful water views, etc -- but I don't know anything specific. I'm looking for cute little, "old world" type towns to walk around and go to shops/cafes/restaurants. I'd also love a chance to really "get into Nature" (mountain hike, etc.), but not sure how difficult that will be without a car. Any suggestions you could provide would be really helpful. Thanks again!

Visit www.corsica-isula.com for masses of info on Corsica. My site www.corsicabus.org can help with bus and train transport if you don't want to hire a car. If you plan a longer stay, have a look at www.corsicaconnect.com.
