We are visiting Corfu in August and i would like to do an excursion to Albania for a day. I see that ferry services exist so theoretically it shouldn't be a problem. Has anyone experience of such excursions? Many thanks.

Adam, first of all, I think you need a visa to visit Albania. So do not forget to check it with their embassy.
Many thanks Romy.
According to various websites, EU citizens do not need visas but do have to pay an entry tax.
Adam, I nerver trust websites info on visas, etc. 100%, as this changes quite regularly and most of the websites are updated once in several months.
Personally, I had couple situation when websites claimed I needed a visa and particular embassies informed me that the regulations have changed already several months ago. So my advice always: get in touch with a consulate. Have a good trip!
an american probably needs a visa?
