I only saw it when driving by. It is roughly in the same area as the Marriott, but a bit farther away from the city center.
I do like the impressions from its webpage, but am not so sure that I'd be really happy with its location. It must have some nice harbour views, though.

Thanks. The website says it's roughly 10 minutes to Tivoli Gardens, would you say that's correct?
They are doing such good deals at the moment so I am willing to take a chance on the location. As far as we're concerned, the hotel is just for sleeping!

I guess somewhere between 10 and 15 minutes would be correct - I did not walk that segment and it's always hard to judge when driving a car, isn't it?
But then Copenhagen isn't that big anyway.
After all I would give them some credit - it is part of the local Arp Hansen Hotel Group that operate quite a couple of reputable hotels. One of them, The Square, is one of my favourites and has never failed to please me. As the interior design of both hotels appear to be a bit similar, I had contemplated staying at the Copenhagen Island upon my recent visit to Copenhagen, but they had not opened yet.
In this context I did notice the deals they are offering and I think I would have jumped on one of them. However, you might need a taxi once in a while. Especially after an evening of dining out this might be more appealing than the schlepp back to the hotel.
I would also suggest you take a look at The Square, where the bed are a bit narrow, but which otherwise is brilliantly located and very nicely designed. A rate comparison might be worth the effort.
Have fun in Copenhagen!

Thanks again. A taxi here and there won't bother us! I did see your earlier post regarding The Square which led me to the Island Hotel website funnily enough. As you say, they are both part of the Arp-Hansen Group which gives me confidence in booking a brand new hotel. Have checked The Square rates but we could have an extra night in Copenhagen if we stayed at The Island. I'm sure we'll have a great time, thanks.
