I can't afford to fly the Concord, wish I could- did find the website with a picture of it. It was on British Airways and that is my favorite airline. They had package deals wherein you fly over, stay one night or more and then fly back- not too expensive!! Let me know what you find out and if you need that website e mail me

I've never flown the concord either. I was in a comercial plane taxiing on the runway at Heathrow when we heard such a loud noise. All the passengers were quite alarmed until the pilot came on the loudspeaker and reassured us that it was just the concord taking off beside us. Anyway, the only thing I've heard, is that the seating is even more cramped and tight than on a commercial flight. Of course, the flight only lasts 3 or 4 hours.

I know the fares into Paris are @ $10,000 pp r/t.
If you do the math you are saving at most three hours at the cost of at least @$8,500. I've heard from people who have ridden the rocket that you can hardly feel the difference at mach 2. Why bother? Unless you can stck your head out the window or something it is just like any other flight, except shorter. Spend the cash on experiences in the destination and spread it out over more than 4 hours.

I don't have any experience on the Concord, but I have to suggest Virgin Express. Not only was the staff extra friendly and helpful, but there were individual monitors in the back on all the seats. You can select which movies you want to see and when, as well as TV shows, radio, etc. You can even play video games on some flights. My brief glimpses past the curtain into the upper class cabin suggest that they had it even better than we in coach did. A wonderful expericence. Have fun, whatever you decide!

The Concorde is a great experience. Although seating is a bit tight, the pre-depature lounge and food on the flight more than make up for it. However, the main purpose of the Concorde is to save time. If you don't care about the extra two-four hours, it is much better to fly business or first class on a regular jet if you're looking for luxury.
