I know you can purchase tickets in advance. Can you buy timed tickets or are they all general admission?

Last time I bought them it was general admission, any time during a certain day. But there is a separate entry line, much shorter, for those with pre-purchased tickets.
Thanks. When looking at the website that is what I surmised. I thought the conceirge at the hotel said he could reserve a timed entry but maybe that is separate from the admission ticket.
I will buy that today and also call Italy tomorrow to purchase tickets for the Uffizi and the Academia in Florence as the website will not let me purchase tickets before noon.
