I just got a mail from Pierreci booking office that Colesseum, Roman Forum and Palantine are not included in 'Culture Week' starting 14th Apr . I had earlier booked the Underground / Third level tour at a discounted price of 7.5 E per person. Now they are asking for the full ticket price.
Can anyone tell me if it is just the 'Underground / Third Level tour' that is not 'free' during the culture week or even the normal entry to Colosseum, Forum and palantine hill? Also, how many more monumnets are now 'out' of the 'free list'?
I was quite excited at the happy coincidence of travelling to Rome during the Culture week and this news has certainly played a dampner!
Colosseum, Forum & Palantine Hill - Not included in 2012 Culture week??

It's true. The Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill will not be free and will charge the usual 12-Euro combo admission fee during Culture Week. I suspect it has to do with labour relations and/or internal politics. It's the only site that will not be free during Culture Week.
The underground tour is never free, not even during Culture Week.
Hi,
May be you can try with the Borghese Gallery? You could see more at this web site: http://www.galleriaborghese.it/borghese/en/edefault.htm
