Colmar and Strasbourg bicycling

Jump to last reply

We will be visiting Colmar/Strasbourg for four nights in late September and are still considering whether to stay in one place for the entire visit (with day trips) or to alternate between the two. In particular, we would appreciate any information about bicycling in both locations to help us decide.

When we visit Amsterdam, Bruges or Berlin, we enjoy bicyling the cities and countryside. However, those routes are all flat, and usually have dedicated bike lanes so that we do not have to deal with vehicular traffic. Similar bicycling opportunities might persuade us to choose between our overnight choices of Colmar or Strasbourg.

Can anyone describe what we should expect?
