Has anyone on this forum visited Clonakilty Model Railway Village in West Cork recently?
http://www.modelvillage.ie/index.htm My wife and I are considering going there in September but are not interested if it's basically for kids. I'd be interested in knowing how it compares with Madurodam in The Netherlands which is certainly for all ages.
Comments from visitors would be appreciated.
Thanks,

It is smaller than Madurodam, but I found it quite interesting as did my dad and stepmother. The buildings were of local things unlike Madurodam where the models were from all over the Netherlands. As I recall the entrance was through an old train station. Hope this helps.
We visited Clonakilty in September and found it interesting but not in good repair. Their road train trip gave us a bit more insight into the history, past and recent, of the town. It was probably not worth the time or money.
Sorry that it was a disappointment.
