Cinque Terre Top Things Not to miss?

We will be there for 2 nights in Early October Staying in Vernazza. Anyone want to share some great not to miss experiences in the Cinque Terre area?

Any one do any boat ride?
Advice on which section to hike or not to hike along the coast? Best restaurants? Any open markets - fish or otherwise? General tips for the area? Thanks in advance!

We were in the C.T. area one week ago. We walked the Via dell' Amore path from Riomaggiore to Manarola, a very easy 30 min. walk (flat). We had lunch there at La Scogliera. Then we took the boat to Vernazza where we wanted to do hike no. 4 (Vernazza to Monterosso which is said to be the most beautiful one). It was so extremely hot, though, that we decided to just take the boat to the different towns. These are all very small and very touristy! But picturesque anyway, especially view from the boat.

Another easy trail is also from manarola to corniglia, nice view, interesting scenery..
The hike from Vernazza to Monterosso is much harder, although the scenery is gorgeous..
You can take the train and stop to every village and come back with the boat...Which is what we did last summer..Our apt. was in Manarola, we spent few Hours to the Monterosso beach, and came back by boat..

CT is a beautiful place...It is so relaxing..
Is Heaven on Earth..
Have Fun.

- Enjoy a glass of wine at the outdoor bar just outside of Riomaggiore on the Via dell' Amore.
- Hike at least one section of the trails.
- Enjoy the fresh accuighe in all the wonderful ways they're prepared in Cinque Terre.
- Get a gellato and spend the evening strolling through the village or along the Via dell' Amore along with the other village families enjoying the passeggiata
- Plan plenty of time to do absolutely nothing! Just enjoy the peace and beauty of this wonderful place.
