What would be the closest city to Cinque de Terre (vernazza) to get a flight to Paris?
Wanted to check the cost of the flights before deciding to fly or train it to Paris.
Thanks for the help.

The closest cities are Genova and Pisa. Milano is not difficult (about two hours).
I'm pretty sure you don't want to train it all the way from Paris.
FYI, the Italians say "le cinque terre"
We transfered in Pisa for the "CT", via train, and flew on for the rest of our trip out of Genoa. The trains can be confusing. There is a very local train that basically just connects the five villages, and then the IC options. You might also consider looking into whether there are night train options (sleeper cars)to Paris. It took almost an hour to reach Genoa on an IC train, since it stopped at every town along the way. Also, Italian trains are notoriously not on time, and occasionally were cancelled for no apparent reason or very, VERY late. My husband ended up missing the last night in Monterosso because there wasn't an early enough train to Genoa for his flight back to the US...so he was taking the last one of the night and it was so late we were beginning to think it wouldn't come at all! If you are going to an airport (or train station for a transfer) at either of those cities, make sure to leave ample time to get there if you will be using the Italian rail system!
Apart from using dedicated train shuttles to the airport (as they have in Rome or Milano), NEVER rely on an Italian train to get you to an airport to catch a flight. Better to go to the town where the airport is and take a cab or dedicated airport shuttle bus from there.
