Christmas windows of Boulevard Haussmann in Paris 2015

Christmas is just a month away, so it's time to start thinking about it no matter what else is happening in the world. I have done my usual review of the window decorations in the department stores of Boulevard Haussmann and provide it for you to decide how the stores compare. In any case, they spare no expense.

How lovely, kerouac - to see something so beautiful and positive out of Paris makes a welcome change from the events of previous days.

I vote for Printemps; pretty and imaginative is my idea of a great Christmas theme.

Thanks for posting, Di

On now. They cancelled the ceremony, not the lights.

Thanks Kerouac...

I remember fondly looking at those Christmas windows and having a delicious dinner full of apples at nearby Pomze.

Kerouac, as always thanks for posting something so interesting.

I love Printemps but the Star Wars themed windows leave me cold, particularly right now. I keep walking near Macy's and some of the other shops here in NY but I haven't crossed the road to brave the crowds!

Thanks Kerouac! Always look forward to seeing this post. This year, I especially appreciate the post as I can't come to Paris for Christmas ( I spent all my vacation money in Italy). My husband will be so bummed to have missed those Star Wars windows! I LOVE the Galleries Lafayette tree!

All my best to you, your friends and family. I am sure it's been a stressful time but I am glad to see this ongoing tradition continue.
