Two questions, we are planning a trip to Cinque Terre staying in Monterosso. Has anyone stayed at Suisse Bellevue, La Colinna or Hotel Punta Mesco and your views. Also is it possible to go on day trip to Portofino and how. Many thanks.

Hotel Pasquale is your best bet. And, to get to Portofino is not easy and would take over an hour by train and bus via Rapallo. Portovenere is my pick over Portofino and is much closer.
I would suggest taking a look at Rick Steves' Italy guidebook, he has the most complete coverage of the CT of the guidebooks of which I'm familiar. I haven't stayed at the hotels you mention but I know that the Suisse Bellevue is high on a hill above Monterosso.
To get to Portofino, you can take a train from the CT to Santa Margherita Ligure and then a bus, boat or hike to Portofino.
