Cheapest way to tour Canadian D-Day sites?

Jump to last reply

My 3 teens and I want to tour the Canadian D-Day sites ( Juno Beach, Canadian Cemetery and ? ) the third week of July this year. I was going to rent a car for the day but think the train to Bayeux would actually cost less and be quicker. But how do I get to the sites if I don't want to hire a guide or join a tour? Or, should I absolutely join a tour or get a guide? "Tours by locals" are all booked!
