Look at the site www.tuckedup.com -- there are a number of B&B's at very reasonable prices.

I keep reading about a place called The Generator that is supposed to be very cheap, student-type hip lodgings in Bloomsbury. You might look into it.

Julie

Check the Shakespear hotel or its sister(next door) The Dolphin At Norfolk Sq.-5 min from Paddington Station.Breakfast included. Old hotels ,clean helpful employees. What else do you want-it's a place to sleep.

when you get here keep an eye out for TNT and Southern Cross, which are magazines aimed at Aussies/NZs. You will find them outside tube stations, they're free. They have LOADS of offers in the back.

Earls Court is known as Kangaroo Valley for a reason, and there are plenty of hostels and budget hotels there.

Another prospect is to ask your country men who you will find in staggering numbers (and staggering) in the Outback pub in Shepherd's Bush, or "The Church" in Kings cross on Sunday afternoons.
