Cheap flights in Spain
I have heard and read references to inexpensive flights within Spain, but I can't find them! I am interested in round trips from Madrid to Santiago de Compostela, Granada, and Barcelona. Iberia seems very expensive to me at 200+ Euros per flight and the Spanish discount airline (I forget the name) only flys out of Spain not between cities in Spain. What am I missing?

Two years ago we flew from Granada to Barcelona for less than 55 Euros for two.
I checked the Iberia web site. One day off or one hour off makes all the difference. About 150E difference.
We got the day we wanted and flew at 7PM (arriving 8PM) which was pretty much when we wanted to go.

Iberia does often offer some very, very low web only fares (even with the added taxes).
You just need to check regularly, maybe even adjust your dates, times of departure to snag the best offer and absolutely compare Iberia's fares with the other low cost players Spanair, Air Madrid, Air Europa and the above-mentioned Vueling:

www.airmadrid.com

I just booked a flight for two from Granada to Barcelona on vueling.com.
The other ariline web sites for travel within Spain were not in English or I could not find the English version.
Vueling.com is in English and I booked the airfare with no problems and you can email the airline with questions and they will get right back to you.
I have not taken this flight yet so I cannot comment on the flight but the airfare was inexpensive.

Both Iberia and Spanair websites have English versions but as someone above noted, you need to book early and you need to look at the various timings since prices can vary greatly.
We flew last year from Granada to Barcelona on Iberia for less than 50 E each but we booked in advance on the Iberia website and had e-tickets.
Couldn't have been easier.
For Madrid-Barcelona both Iberia and Spanair compete HEAVILY on that route with basically hourly departures.
