Cheap flight UK to Paris

Wife and I can use our frequent flyer miles to either Manchester of London but not to Paris, our actual destination (Sep. 16). Do any low cost airlines fly to any airport in Paris from Manchester or London Gatwick? Wife is afraid to travel between Gatwick and Heathrow. Many thanks, Jerry

There are several low fare gurus on here so they might be able to help. At least I'm topping it so they might see it.

But - my question is, what does your wife fear about transferring? Hundreds of people do it every day w/o incident. There is a cheap express coach service that connects the two.

Have you looked at taking the train? Once you factor in transfers, check-in, and security delays, you can probably get from Gatwick to Paris city center faster by rail than by air.

Southwest Trains has service from Gatwick to Waterloo, whence the Eurostar departs. You can also go to the coast and pick it up at Ashford, but only for a few departures each day.

No airlines of any description fly regular flights from Gatwick to anywhere in the Paris area: you need to get a bus to LHR or Southampton, take the train to Waterloo or Ashford to pick up the Eurostar, or take the . direct train from LGW to just outside LTN, which is one of the area's low-cost airline meccas.

Only BA and Air France fly from MCR to anywhere in the Paris area. Easyjet flies from Liverpool and Jet2 from Leeds.

I flew with British Airways and Air France round trip between Mancherster and Paris for around 150 Euros. No need to change airport there...

in response to your e-mail question to me, I'm afraid I have no advice on taxi from Manchester to Liverpool. Maybe clarify and re-ask here on this thread?
