We're planning to stay at Chateau Zevgoli for a few nights on our honeymoon in May. Is it walking distance from the port? It seems close, and transfers just seem so expensive! Any advice would be appreciated.

The hotel is in the old town just below the kastro, in a maze of pedestrian-only streets. I don't think a taxi could get you there, but it's not far from the ferry port anyway. The hotel will probably help you with your luggage if they know when you are coming. Do as Tommmo suggests and contact them for instructions.
