Chartering a boat for a day from Dubrovnik - where to go???

Jump to last reply

My wife and I, both in our 30s, will be in Dubrovnik this coming July and are wanting to charter a private boat for a day. From this experience, we are hoping to see some beautiful scenery that we wouldn't otherwise see without a boat. We'd also like to find some cool spots to swim in the crystal clear Adriatic as well as find a little peace and serenity from the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik :)

We have a boat at home and just love being on the water for the day, hopping in and out to swim, enjoying a few drinks and listening to music while tanning on the boat deck. Just the perfect way to spend a day! I guess you could say we are looking for a "chill" experience. :)

Based on the above for, would Mljet or the Elaphiti Islands be a better choice? Obviously Mljet takes a bit longer to get to but are the scenery and swimming spots worth the extra transit time and money?

The other option would be to do charter the boat to our next stop - Korcula - and explore on the way there. We're just concerned that this may not be as relaxing.

Open to any other suggestions to. Is there anything else that shouldn't be missed? Thanks in advance for any recommendations.
