Charming movie to watch if you've visited Erice in Sicily

In Oct. 2015 we visited Erice, and there was a WWII movie being filmed there. I'd always wondered about the film. Today, while on a flight home form Rome, I started to watch an Italian movie. I soon realized that it was the movie we'd seen being filmed in Erice. In addition to being a lovely reminder of our trip to Sicily, it is a very nice film to watch with scenes set in both 1940s New York and small town Sicily. . See it if you can find it.

In Guerra per Amore

Thanks for the info.

I was just in Erice in September - loved it. The movie looks interesting.

It says Netflix Prime? Never heard of it and can't find it. We get Netflix and Amazon Prime and searching them, it isn't on either one. Would love to watch it.

Yes, it has English subtitles.

I am thinking perhaps it was just released and might not yet be readily available. I think sometimes airlines do show films that have just been or are about ready to be released on DVD or for streaming. We were on a three week trip, and, I could be wrong, but I don't seem to remember it being on option on the flight over at the very end of September.
