Chania hotel - Casa Delfino or Porto Veneziano?

Hi! I am trying to decide between these 2 hotels. What would be nicer - a sea view room at Porto Veneziano or the cheapest standard room at Casa Delfino? Thank you!

All up to you ... Porto Veneziano is a standard modern hotel, nice view but could be in any European town. I have never been in Casa Delfino, looks nice from outside but too pricey for me, but i Looove staying on West side, on Theotokopoulou Street. YOur call.

Oh no! More decisions

What hotels would you recommend on Theotokopoulou street?

(Delfino is a bit pricey for me as well, but if it was amazingly better thananything else, I'd consider it.)

I like the location of the Porto V; however,we toured their rooms thinking of a possible future trip and they were very basic business style.

We are staying at Hotel Palazzo (60€ double incl breakfast in May) ... a tastefully done modest budget hotel in a Venetian building... balconies in almost all rooms, rooftop terrace with view. .... but I do travel on a budget and don't look for a "spa" experience. I would not want you to go into a place I like, expecting a "luxe" level, and then criticize it for not having all the amenities or decor that you are accustomed to.... in that case better you go more upscale.

I'd go for the harbour view. It is a really beautiful, old Venetian & charming and it is nice to see at different times with the changes of light.

The Casa Delfino is a lovely hotel. Would go back in a heart beat. Do not know your other hotel.

We liked our stay in Pandora Suites in Chania. Location was good and our room had a view over the town and harbour. I can't remember what we paid but it wouldn't have been expensive as we usually travel on a budget.

Breakfast was served on the terrace which had a great view. The bathroom was a bit basic but everything worked.

I don't think the Porto Veneziano lends anything except efficiency.
