Changing trains in Frankfurt; enough time?

Here's a quick summary of our proposed trip:

We depart the Frankfurt airport at 13:30 and then we arrive Frankfurt Mainhbf at 13:44 at platform 9.
We then leave the Frankfurt Mainhbf at 13:58 from platform 7.

Will we have enough time? I am assuming that platform 9 is somewhat close to platform 9?

Any help? Thanks.

Track 7 is near track 9, but on the neighboring platform.
Since Frankfurt central station is a terminus, that means that you should get in the very first car at Frankfurt airport to minimize the walk to the next platform at Frankfurt central.
14 minutes is more than enough time to change platforms.

If you arrive by plane that day, you also don't have to wait until 13.30 at the airport's train station but take any train to Frankfurt central if you get there earlier (unless your tickets are restricted to the use of specific trains).

Thanks, Cowboy. This may sound stupid, but what is a terminus? I tried to Google the term but couldn't find a definition. Again, thanks!

A terminus station, here, is one where trains terminate their journey. Almost always that means the front of the train stops at a concourse that runs at right angles to hte platforms. To change platforms, you usually go to the fronmt of the train, turn in the direction of the platform you want to changfe to then walk along the new platform till you've found the place in the new train you want to be.

The other kind of station is one where the train passes through. To change platforms you take staircases, lifts or subways from various midpoints on the platforms.

There are of course other variations. But if you know you'll be getting off at a terminus, and that the only platform to platform connection there is the concourse, then if you're in a hurry you want to get off as close to the front as possible.

Most terminus stations have also a "subway" (in the british sense) for those further back. But with so little time starting out in front of the train is usually better.

"Subway" in the British sense is an underground passageway - usually under train platforms or major city intersections. Nothing to do with a subway train (as in NYC).
