Change planes - Is Munich easier or better than Frankfurt?

Hello

I will be traveling in England then want to go to Venice on May 27th. I usually use easyjet but their prices are out of sight for my dates, so it looks like luftansa is my best bet. They have many flights (none direct) out of Heathrow.

From past experience I don't find Frankfurt a very friendly for a quick plane change (but this has always been when changing from a North American flight to a European flight) and was wondering if anyone has experience with both airports and any preference for a change of planes in about 55 minutes?

the airfare is about $250 US for these flights LHR to VCE returning June 3rd, so if anyone has any better options for flights out of any London area airport, I would appreciate that info as well.

thanks

Leonard

Munich is generally easier as it's the smaller of the two airports

Consensus here is that Munich is better than Frankfurt. My experience is the opposite, primarily due to weather. Several recent trips through Munich have all been disrupted due to fog at MUC airport delaying my incoming flight, both trans Atlantic as well as intra-Europe.

The only problem I see is if you have to change terminal buildings.

Do you have been able to obtain that information?

Strauss Airport in Munich is large, but I think it is well laid out.

I have flown in and out of there several times and have not had any negative experiences.
