Chances of exchanging a damaged 50 Euro Note for a New One?

Jump to last reply

Last summer our son got caught in torrential rains in Barcelona that soaked through to his money belt. When he returned home, I managed to salvage a 50 Euro note but when I peeled it apart, it tore into two pieces and some of the edges were missing. My husband and I are going to France soon and wonder whether we might be able to exchange this note for an undamaged one at a bank. One of the halves has a serial number on it. Does anyone have knowledge as to whether this might be possible?

Thanks for your help.
